Candid Cookies recipe

@eat_with_els is a plant-based food blogger on Instagram. This week they made us a special recipe, Candid Cookies. Half orange and half chocolate, this delicious vegan treat is not one to miss. Follow these five easy steps to perfection.

MIX TOGETHER:

  1. ½ cup vegetable oil

  2. ½ cup brown sugar

  3. ½ cup caster sugar

  4. ¼ cup almond milk (or any vegan milk)

  5. 1tsp vanilla extract

  6. 1 cup plain flour

  7. 1tsp salt

  8. 1tsp baking powder

HALF THE MIXTURE

To one half of the mix add:

  1. 2 tbsp cocoa powder

  2. ¼ cup more  of plain flour

  3. To the remaining half of the mix add:

  4. Grated rind of one orange

  5. 3/8 cup more of plain flour

CHILL

Place both mixtures in the fridge for one hour.

SHAPE

Separate each mixture into 6 balls.

Pair one chocolate ball and one orange ball and round together in the palm of your hand.

Repeat for the remaining balls.

BAKE

Bake on a greased baking tray at 180 for around 11 minutes.
