Patricia Estrada is a freelance illustrator from Moscow. Finding happiness in sharing in their work, Patricia finds their insecurities about being ‘good enough’ as part of the building blocks of becoming an artist.
An excerpt from Patricia Estrada
My name is Patricia Estrada and I am a twenty-one-year-old freelance illustrator. I am originally from Moscow but grew up in a tiny town called Perpignan in the south of France. When I was nineteen years old I moved to Leeds in the UK to learn more about English culture.

I was very surprised about how many people dare to do creative things; people who have nothing explore their creative side and everyone helps each other! This is why I started to showcase my art and get a reputation mostly in the UK. Living in Leeds gave me the confidence to share my work with others,

After I moved back to France, I did not stop drawing and I was always happy to design work for people. I feel my art is appreciated when I create a commissioned piece. The feeling when people like your drawing is amazing. The best feeling ever.
I mostly draw on my ipad with procreate or draw first on paper and scan it afterwards and work on it from there. I love drawing but also paint as well.
I feel If I am being completely honest, I am a very insecure person. I do not personally like my art but sometimes feel confident enough to post on my Instagram @pssstrada. When I am not happy with a result, I feel it is almost part of the game.
I worked with two zines who talk about mental health called “dear mental health” and “dear eating disorder. I noticed how many people are impacted by mental health and it is something I am very proud to be a part of.
At the moment, I am working on reopening my Etsy shop. I keep working on my art, to be the best I possibly can be.
